Tourte Mute Shaped for Cello

The Tourte shaped cello mute is made of rubber and has become one of the most popular mutes for orchestral playing. It can stay on the instrument when not in use and easily slipped onto the bridge when needed. The mute can be placed on different strings (G and D, A and E) for muting effectively on different strings. The rubber mute is flexible and will gently rest on the bridge. Some players prefer the slim shaped mute with a pin on the top which makes moving the mute easier.
